Eight individual caps have been produced to carry the colours of the six counties in the mid-west as well as one for Munster and Ireland. They will be used as entrance tickets to the JP McManus Invitational Pro Am which takes place on the 5th and 6th July 2010 at Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort.
Commenting at the launch today, JP McManus said; "I would like to thank most sincerely our guests who have given up their time today to help us promote the cap sales for the 2010 Pro-Am. By buying an entrance cap, spectators are not only supporting their local charities, they are also getting a souvenir cap with which they can cheer on their favourite county teams for many years to come! We look forward to two days of world class golf with a top line-up of professionals as well as supporting mid-western charities and groups in their work with the underprivileged and disadvantaged".
The caps are available in the following county colours: Limerick; Tipperary; Cork; Waterford; Kerry; Clare; Munster; Ireland and are available to purchase on the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am website www.jpmcmanusproam.com . The cost per cap is €50 and admits one adult for both days of the tournament and U/16s gain free entry. The caps will also be available in selected outlets in the mid-west early next year.
All proceeds are donated in their entirety towards charities in the mid-west and over €55 million has been raised since its inception in 1990. The beneficiary organisations have already begun organising pre-qualifying tournaments throughout the country in a bid to enter teams in the 2010 Pro-Am.
It is estimated that a record number of overseas and Irish visitors will attend the event in 2010 where they can expect to see some of the world's top golfers including Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington, as well as celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment.
