Jamie Redknapp

Jamie Redknapp is a retired English footballer who is now a football pundit with Sky Sports. Jamie began his professional career at the age of 16, at Bournemouth, then managed by his father, Harry Redknapp. He made 13 appearances for the club before attracting the attention of Liverpool, who signed him in January 1991. Redknapp scored several spectacular goals during his time at Anfield which is where he will be remembered for his best performances. After playing for Liverpool, Redknapp returned to play for Tottenham Hotspur before finally joining Southampton, where he played under his father for a second time. At the end of the season, in June 2005, the 32-year-old Redknapp decided to retire from the game due to his constant injury problems and on the advice of his medical specialists. Since his retirement, Redknapp has entered the field of punditry, mainly with Sky Sports and is currently one of the team captain's in the Sky1 show, “A League of Their Own”. In 1998, Redknapp married former Eternal singer Louise Nurding; they have two sons Charley and Beau Henry.
