Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas is an American actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Gordon Gekko, the high-powered, extremely successful (but ruthless and greedy) broker, in the 1987 movie ‘Wall Street’, for which he received an Academy Award for Best Actor. Another prominent role for Douglas was that of producer of the famous ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ which also garnered him an Academy Award for producer of 1975's Best Picture. Other notable roles played by Douglas include; Dan Gallagher in ‘Fatal Attraction’, Andrew Shepherd in ‘The American President’ and Nick Curran in ‘Basic Insticnt’. Douglas will reprise his role as Gordon Gekko in this summer’s ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps’. He has been married to fellow actor Catherine Zeta-Jones since 2000.
