Paul O’Connell

Paul O’Connell, the Irish and Munster rugby player made his debut for Ireland against Wales in the Six Nations 2002, scoring a try. O'Connell took over from an injured Brian O'Driscoll as Ireland captain in their historic match against France in the 2007 Six Nations, the first rugby match ever at Croke Park. O'Connell was awarded the Man of the Match accolade following Ireland's historic (and record breaking) 43-13 win over England at Croke Park during the Six Nations Championship. He also captained Munster to victory in the 2007-08 Heineken Cup and the 2008–09 Magners League. Paul became a father to a baby boy in April 2010 with long time girlfriend Emily. The baby arrived into the world just before midnight on Thursday the 15th of April at the Mid-Western Regional Maternity in Limerick and weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs 10 ounces.
