Peter Gallagher

Peter Gallagher has played many roles in numerous Hollywood films as well as some notable characters on the Broadway stage. His Broadway appearances include; Sky Masterson in 'Guys and Dolls' along with performing beside Glenn Close in Tom Stoppard's 'The Real Thing'. Some of his big screen roles have included; the comatose "fiancé" of Sandra Bullock in 'While You Were Sleeping', an egotistical real estate salesman having an affair with Annette Bening in 'American Beauty', a villainous media executive in 'Mr. Deeds' and a political reporter exposing media ethics during a presidential debate in 'The Last Debate'. However, he is most likely best known for starring as Sandy Cohen in popular teen drama 'The O.C.' from 2003 to 2007. In honor of his character on 'The O.C.', Gallagher hosts an awards ceremony named 'The Sandy Cohen Awards' which gives a scholarship to a law school student at UC Berkeley who wants to become a public defender.
