Luke Donald

A noted artist in his spare time, English golfer Luke Donald graduated in art theory and practice from Northwestern University in Chicago and has donated some of his work to be auctioned for charity. The two-time Ryder Cup player has successfully managed to divide his time between two tours, the PGA Tour in the United States and the PGA European Tour. He has five official tournament victories in his career, winning the Southern Farm Bureau Classic (2002) and Honda Classic (2006) in the USA, and the Scandinavian Masters and Omega European Masters (both in 2004) and the Madrid Masters in May, a week after finishing runner-up to Simon Khan in the BMW PGA at Wentworth. He has also won the World Cup (partnering Paul Casey) in 2004 and the Target World Challenge in 2005. Donald suffered a wrist injury in August 2008 which meant he missed the remainder of that season (including the Ryder Cup at Valhalla) but returned to form in 2009 with a series of good finishes, including fifth place at the British Open in Turnberry.
