Co-lead singer of the hugely successful boyband Westlife, Filan caught the golfing bug whilst touring the world with the super-group. Having sold over 55 million records worldwide and toured the globe many times to the delight of their legion of fans, Filan had the opportunity to stay at some of the world’s finest golf resorts which piqued his interest in the game. He is currently an active member of the County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point, which is close to his home, and he divides his time between recording for his solo career and quick visits to the putting green.
